Description: This album features an edit of the original hour-long soundscape composed for the Oasis Sonoro exhibit in Mexico City by Ultra-red's Elizabeth Blaney and Leonardo Vilchis. Using the sound of mariachi musicians looking for work in La Ciudad's Bellas Artes, this composition celebrates the mariachis of Mexico and East Los Angeles as heralds of labor and the autonomy of migration.

Description: The Belgrade market in Blok 70 stages a remarkable convergence of Chinese shopkeepers, war refugees and Roma deportees from Germany. Featuring Octex (Ljubljana), Vuneny (Mostar), Belgradeyard Soundsystem's PoS (Belgrade) and artists from Zagreb and Sarajevo.

Composed from field recordings and interviews, "border sounds" forces the larger question of how might soundscapes resist a "Beautiful World" tendency to inform and interrogate political process.

These encounters offered both groups a chance to compare notes on strategies and analysis around migrant struggles. "Play Kanak Attak" compiles the first two years of that encounter with soundscapes, minimal-house, and electro-beats.

Description: DSP desperados Ultra-red face-off with LA's Los Jornaleros. From the rehearsals of the Ranchero posse to the street corners of day laborers, the album takes in the sound and poetry of migrant struggle in Los Angeles. "Play Los Jornaleros del Norte" features a mix of minimalismo and Ultra-red's interpretation of electronic norteña.
